Early morning shooting on W 19th St #23SC27457

On September 21st, 2023, at 5:14 AM the Sioux City Police Department received a call of shots fired in the area of W. 19th and Center Street. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male suffering from a single gunshot wound. Sioux City Police Officers attended to the victim, until Sioux City Fire and Rescue arrived on scene. The victim was transported to Mercy One for treatment.
Officers conducted a canvas of the area, locating evidence of a shooting. The investigation is on-going. The name and condition of the victim are not being released at this point in the investigation. This incident appears to be a targeted incident, we do not believe the general public is in any danger.
