Four new officers sworn in

Officer Briann Church

A Sioux City native, she has an AA in Criminal Justice from Iowa Western and previously worked as a Correctional Officer at the Woodbury County Jail.

Officer Blake Joines

A Sioux City native, he has a Police Science degree from the Community College of the Air Force. He is also an Air Force veteran.

Officer Nicholas Lutmer

A Rock Rapids, Iowa native, he has BA in Criminal Justice from Briar Cliff University.

Officer Nathan Sanchez

An Akron, Iowa native, he has a BA in Criminal Justice from the University of South Dakota.

The Sioux City Police Department would like to welcome four new officers that were sworn in on Aug. 22 at the Woodbury County Court Hose. They are Briann Church, Blake Joines, Nicholas Lutmer, and Nathan Sanchez.

The new officers will begin the 16 week Basic Course at the Iowa Law Enforcement academy on Aug. 26th in Des Moines, Iowa.

After completing the Academy, they will begin a 17 week Field Training Program with the Sioux City Police Department.
