National Drug Take Back Day is Oct. 26 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Officers with the Sioux City Police Department and Deputies with the Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office will be manning nine locations in Sioux City for the DEA’s National Drug Take Back Day from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Collection sites will be at the following locations.
3) Hy-Vee Mainstreet – 2611 Pierce
7) Drilling Pharmacy - 4010 Morningside Ave.
Bring your unused medications in their bottles to the collection site and drop them off. There is no paper work to complete and no information from you is required. Drugs collected will be disposed of in a safe. Vaping pens with the batteries removed and cartridges can also be dropped off at the sites as well.
The last National Drug Take Back day in April of this year saw 11,680 pounds of unused medications collected in Iowa with 937,442 pounds collected nationally.
