Suspect arrested for robbing Sarg's on Indian Hill Dr.

A robbery of Sarg's Mini Mart, 1545 Indian Hills Dr., occurred at 6:10 pm on Sept. 11 when a man wearing a mask pointed a rifle at the clerk and demanded money. The suspect then fled the store to the south on foot.
Officers responding to the call located the suspect in the area of 33rd and Morgan St. running into a wooded area. Officers gave catch and a K9 was used to apprehend the suspect.
Detectives with the department have charged 20-year-old Noah Angel Pineda of Sioux City with 1st Degree Robbery.
Pineda was treated for minor injuries due to the K9 apprehension at a local hospital.
The firearm used in the robbery was located and money from the store was also recovered.
This matter is under further investigation as to any connection to other robberies that have occurred.
